Plant-Based Innovator PURIS today announced the launch of its first consumer brand: AcreMade. The brand’s first product launch comes in the form of a plant-based egg made using yellow field peas and is now available via the AcreMade website.
PURIS which was founded in 1985 with the intention of developing safer, more sustainable foods from plants has achieved key breakthroughs in clean manufacturing. As a result, they promise great food at a lower cost, lower environmental impact, and with less waste. The company currently produces a range of non-GMO, plant-based ingredients made from soy, pulses, lentils and corn.

Using PURIS’ 35+ years of experience, AcreMade’s plant-based egg comes in the form of a shelf-stable powder that the brand says is ‘perfect for scrambling or baking’. Each serving contains 5gs of pea protein, and consumers can order a multipack which contains 8 x 4.9oz pouches (2.45 lbs per case), or 12 egg equivalent per pouch for $54.99.
“We’re thrilled to be launching AcreMade as our first direct to consumer brand,” said Nicole Atchison, CEO of AcreMade and PURIS Holdings.
“AcreMade is another step towards healthier choices for people, practices that are safe for soil and animals, and a food supply ready to feed a growing planet.”
Despite PURIS’ documented experience, the brand launches in a market with heavy competition from popular brands such as JUST Egg and Follow Your Heart.
