If you, like many of us, are a huge fan of the popular cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants, this one’s for you! Kumoya Singapore has collaborated with Impossible Foods to launch a Spongebob-themed pop-up cafe from 16 December 2021.
The cafe, like its previous runs, will showcase a menu designed by @littlemissbento, and will serve anything and everything that’s related to the chatty yellow sponge and friends. However, the twist is that it will only be serving plant-based protein from Impossible Foods.
Expect to find Instagrammable dishes like the “I’m Ready!” Life Is Sweet Impossible Big Breakfast (S$26.90), “No Problemo” The Impossible Burger (S$25.90), “Aye-aye Captain” Impossible Japanese Croquette Curry Rice (S$24.90) and “I Wumbo, You Wumbo, He She We Wumbo” Impossible Meatball Pomodoro Pasta (S$23.90). “No Problemo” The Impossible Burger is essentially a plant-based burger patty with tamagoyaki, caramalised onions, tomatoes, and sliced cheddar cheese sandwiched between Spongebob-shaped baos, served with a Patrick matcha bun, mini tater tots and fresh garden salad.
They also have snacks like the Impossible Nuggets (S$13.90), Impossible Chili Con Carne Fries (S$12.90), and many more!
Looking for something to aid your sweet tooth? Don’t worry as Spongebob and Patrick have your back. Enter the “Order Up!” Get Toasty Dessert Set (S$21.90) where you will be served with a large tray consisting of Hokkaido soft serve with Shibuya toast, assorted marshmallows, fresh fruits, butter cream, chocolate dip, and a Spongebob butter cookie. Additionally, they will also be serving up four different Spongebob-themed drinks to pair along with your meal!
Despite the absence of Mr Krabs, Sandy and Squidward, I guess the comical duo is enough to give me an “under the sea” experience.
