Maybe you’re not planning your next vacation out of Singapore any time soon, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t feast on international fare you so dearly miss. Wan Chai Ferry will be ferrying their authentic and traditional dumplings to our sunny shores, and the best part? These flavourful and healthy dumplings are completely meat-free.
The dumplings were sold originally at Hong Kong’s Wan Chai Ferry Terminal, and grew in popularity until they became dubbed Hong Kong’s top dim sum and dumpling brand.
Their range of flavours has expanded to include the all-new Wan Chai Ferry Plant Based Meat Dumplings (S$6.50 for 12 pieces). Whether you’re striving to stick to your Meatless Monday commitment or exploring a flexitarian diet, this one’s for you. These vegan and vegetarian dumplings are made with the same high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques as their meat counterparts, without any compromise on the quality.
Wan Chai Ferry’s Plant Based Meat Dumplings are the first of their kind here in Singapore, and are indistinguishable from regular dumplings. If you’re trying to cut down your meat consumption but have little cravings once in a while, this might just find itself in your shopping cart the next time you get groceries.
These dumplings can be steamed, pan-fried, deep-fried, or even boiled in soups. These Plant Based Meat Dumplings come in two flavours—Purple Cabbage & Corn Plant Based Meat (S$6.50) and Black Pepper & Mushroom Plant Based Meat (S$6.50)—and are perfect for your potluck gatherings or a light and healthy stay-home dinner.
They are available at your neighbourhood FairPrice outlets, along with online platforms such as FairPrice Online and RedMart.
