Launched in November 2020, Planta at Home ships Planta’s signature favorites nationwide within the United States and Canada. Like Planta restaurants, everything Planta at Home offers is 100% plant-based. Each dish is prepared by chefs in the kitchen of Planta’s South Beach location, vacuum sealed, packed with dry ice, and shipped overnight straight to your door.
VEGWORLD had the opportunity to try a selection of Planta at Home’s offerings, and they did not disappoint! With dishes ranging from pizzas and burger kits to sweet treats like cinnamon rolls and cheesecake, plus pantry items like Buffalo Mayo and Chili Oil, there are a plethora of options from which to choose. Needless to say, we were very excited to dig in and give everything a try.
Right away, we were impressed with how carefully everything was packaged. There was no unnecessary packaging, and the dry ice kept everything frozen on the overnight journey from Florida to Southern California. Preparation instructions were included with each item, making it simple to whip up a quick and delicious vegan meal.
The item we selected for our first taste test was the Margherita Pizza. We followed the cooking instructions and had a delicious vegan pizza hot and ready to eat within ten minutes. We sprinkled some Almond Truffle Parm on top, and we promise you will want to include one (or two) jars in your order so you can be like us and put it on everything. It’s just that good.
No taste test is complete without dessert, and we were more than happy to have a mid-afternoon chocolate chip cookie. Planta’s chocolate chip cookies are not your average chocolate chip cookie. They are massive, making them perfect for sharing (or not, we’re not judging). We enjoyed our warm cookie with a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream we had in the freezer, and we were in dessert heaven!
Each item we tried was a hit for us, and we were truly blown away by how simple Planta at Home made it to make a satisfying vegan meal that everyone would enjoy.
