There’s big news yet again in the plant-based food world this week, with the likes of Oatly, Nestlé, and Domino’s leading the charge.

Vegans in the UK, US, Australia, and New Zealand can rejoice with the following top drops.

Oatly debuts Mint Chocolate ice cream in the UK

Global oat milk giant, Oatly, has this week announced the launch of a brand new ice cream flavor for its UK audience.

The oat-based ice cream now comes in Mint Chocolate, adding to the current vegan line-up of Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry, and Salted Caramel.

Oatly UK’s general manager Ishen Paran said in a statement sent to PBN that the launch marks another move in helping people go plant-based.

Paran added: “We’ve put an Oatly spin on a flavor everyone’s been asking for – and we think it will go down a treat with ice cream lovers.”

Now, consumers can find the products in-store at Ocado. In Sainsbury’s, they’ll arrive on October 17, and from November 1 in Tesco.

Vegan KitKat comes to New Zealand

Nestlé’s vegan version of the iconic KitKat, the KitKat V, is reportedly arriving in New Zealand this month.

The country is one of the lucky few to see a rollout of the chocolate bar this year since it launched in the UK last February, the NZ Herald reports.

Joyce Tan, who is head of marketing confectionery, told the outlet: “With Kiwis seeking out more plant-based alternatives of their favorite products, we set out to create a vegan-friendly version of our iconic KitKat bar.

“Our team has worked hard to get the perfect balance between the cocoa and milk alternative and have created something we hope all KitKat fans can enjoy.”

Domino’s adds vegemite as vegan option in Australia

In a ‘dream collab’, Domino’s is teaming up with Vegemite on a new topping. And, the Cheese Vegemite Domino’s pizza is available with vegan cheese.

But the new ‘quintessentially Aussie’ option is available for a limited time only.

Trader Joe’s unveils vegan feta cheese

Grocery giant Trader Joe’s is adding a vegan version of feta, simply called Vegan Feta Cheese Alternative across its US stores.

The latest vegan cheese addition is made with coconut oil, potato starch, and potato protein.

Each block comes in a 300g pack, available at $4.99.

Native Snacks debuts ‘world first’ vegan prawn crackers

Prawn-less prawn crackers are being released in the UK by Native Snacks, a snack company claiming to offer the ‘world’s first’ alternative to the popular Asian offering.

Now, customers can find them in Asda and stores up and down the country, and Planet Organic.

Moreover, they are gluten-free and available at £1.79 for a 60g bag.

So far, the brand says it’s saved almost 37,000 prawns since launching just this year.
