In 2014, Curbside Cantina started off as a humble food truck serving delicious tacos to the residents of Kuala Lumpur. On 4 Apr 2023, they finally opened the doors to their very first taqueria, a Mexican restaurant that specialises in tacos, located in Damansara Kim. Just like most businesses during the time, they faced hardships when the pandemic hit, but they’ve bounced back with a permanent location.
One thing that sets Curbside Cantina apart from its competitors is its 3 distinct taco styles: Sonora Style, Baja Style, and L.A. Tostada. Sonora Style tacos are made with toasted wheat tortillas, chipotle spring onion relish, cheddar, salsa, and cabbage. The Baja Style uses a toasted corn tortilla with guac salsa, pico, crema, and cabbage. Lastly, L.A. Tostada tacos have a crunchy corn tortilla base, quesa, crema, guac salsa, and pickled onions.

There are 4 fillings to choose from, including Confit “Asada” Brisket (RM14) that uses Australian beef, and Herb Crumbed Fish (RM11), which features a dory fillet. There’s also their chicken option, Braised “Al Pastor” (RM11), and Roast “Barbacoa” (RM16) made of New Zealand lamb shoulder. Those who follow a plant-based diet can check out their Chargrilled Zucchini (RM9).
The eatery serves other main dishes and snacks as well, like Black Bean Falafel Burrito (RM24), Chicken Basil Taquitos (RM22), Melted Nachos (RM24), and Tossed Nachos (RM18) that are coated in chilli oil.

They’ve also got their own spins on classic Mexican desserts like Glazed Churros (RM14) and Tres Leches (RM16) that’s made with a waffle and strawberry butter. Curbside Cantina’s drinks menu is unique too, as they serve beverages like Grapefruit Tamarind (RM12), an ice-shaken cooler, and Horchata (RM15), a sweet rice milk.
If you’ve been on the lookout for a new taco spot, drop by Curbside Cantina for a taste of fresh Mexican eats.
